A report on the activities of the units in KASARGOD EAST CLUSTER

Environment day(5/6/15),Reading day(19/6/15),International Yoga Day(28/6/2015),ANTIDRUG DAY ( 25/6/2015)World population day(11/7/2015),Chandradinam(21/7/2015),condolences to LATE President(4/8/2015), (Hiroshima Day( 6/8/2015 ),Independence Day,Karshakadinam(17/8/2015),Onam Celebrations(21/8/2015 ),Teachers day(5/9/2015),Ozone Day(16/09/2015) and NSS day(24/09/2015) have been observed with meaningful activities ensuring community participation more or less in all the units in this cluster.

Enrollment has been completed in all the units and the list of enrollment has been uploaded within the stipulated time.

SPECIFIC ORIENTATION has been done in all the units in the cluster except in GHSS MALOTH KASABA  and HOLY FAMILY HSS RAJAPURAM ( SFU ).This will be done within the next two weeks.Sri Hareeshkumar P ( PAC ) has also chipped in conducting specific orientation in a few units.

A meeting of the programme officers of all the units has been conducted on 4/10 /2015 in GHSS KAMBALLUR in the presence of  the DPC ,Sri.Suresh kumar A.V to discuss the activity reports and the compulsory project activities to be done this academic year.

A cluster level empowerment programme, giving training in trauma care to five first year volunteers each and the programme officer from all the 9 units was also conducted on the above date and venue which was marked by the participation  of more than 150 community members other than the volunteers.

BEE KEEPING TRAINING (ST JUDES VELLARIKKUNDU)

MANGO TREE PLANTING(NATTUMAVU)- GRAFTING AND NURSERY (ST JUDES VELLARIKKUNDU);AID TO KIDNEY PATIENTS (ST JUDES VELLARIKKUNDU) are some of the distinctive projects reported from these units.

Disaster management TRAINING IN OUR CLUSTER begins with Trauma Care Training in GHSS KAKKAD on 9/8/2015

LET US congratulate GHSS KAKKAD who conducted a highly relevant programme in Trauma care.The PAC MEMBER ( Radhakrishnan C K )also participated in the training and won a badge.

The programme was initiated by the national service scheme unit of GHSS KAKKAD ,co sponsored by the police department and motor vehicle department under the project name  TRACK.( Trauma care society ,Kasargod ).The programme was inaugurated by the SP ,  in a brief inaugural ceremony held in the school hall at 9.30 AM.

The programme with three useful sessions by experts on building leadership,first aid training and road safety awareness programme lasted for 7 hours.Badges authorising the trainees to help the victims in an unexpected emergency were distributed in the end of the programme.

I WOULD LIKE TO RATE THIS PROGRAMME WITH 8 SCORES OUT OF 10.
